How to import trades from Tradovate to TradesPad?

To get the most out of TradesPad and import your trades, you can easily import CSV files from Tradovate. Below, we'll explain how to export a CSV and import it to TradesPad step by step.

Step 1: Access your TradesPad account

Once logged into your TradesPad account, go to the Accounts section from the main menu.

Step 2: Add a new account

  1. Click the Add account button.

  2. In the dropdown, select the Automatic option to connect your trading account.

  3. Select Tradovate as the platform.

  4. Fill in all required fields and press save.

Step 3: Export your trades from Tradovate

  1. Open the Tradovate Desktop Platform and sign in.

  2. Click on the account selector dropdown in the upper panel.

  3. Click on the settings icon next to the account to open the account settings.

  1. In the Account Reports page, select the Orders tab.

  1. Choose the desired date range for the trades you want to export.

  1. Click the Download CSV button to export your trades.

Step 4: Import the trades into TradesPad

  1. Find the account you previously created, press on the right bottom corner of the account card, and press Import Trades.

  2. Select the CSV file you previously downloaded from Tradovate. After processing, you will see the number of trades detected.

  3. Press Import Trades, and the trades will be added to your account immediately.

Important notes

  • Tradovate does not provide fee data to external platforms. For this reason, you might find discrepancies in the P&L of the trades. You can correct them manually by editing the trades or configuring automatic fees.

  • Existing trades will not be overwritten when importing another CSV.
